Job Description

SIMON is looking for rising juniors, rising seniors, and Master’s students specializing in Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to join our Summer 2021 Internship in New York City. 

  • Our program is a 10-week full-time program beginning June 7, 2021 and ending August 13, 2021 which may rotate across departments.
    • Our Engineering team is looking for students interested in Backend, Data Strategy, DevOps, Infrastructure, Product Management, QA, Quantitative, UI Engineering, and UX & Design.
    • Our Sales team is looking for students in interested in Annuities, Distribution, and Structured Investments.
    • Our Business Development team is looking for students interested in Marketing and Communications.

 

No matter which part of the team you join, there is something interesting to work on. Our front-end team is building out our web and mobile presence using React, Redux, and Webpack along with some very sophisticated data visualizations. Our back-end and quant teams are using Scala, Akka, Python, relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB), AWS solutions (e.g. Lambda, S3, Kinesis, ElastiCache), and other open-source technologies to build a micro-services architecture that can scale to handle our ambitious roadmap. Our quantitative engineering team is researching and building novel financial strategies using optimization, stochastic modeling and Monte Carlo simulations to widen our competitive advantage.  Our dev-ops team is creating a development and production environment with Docker and Kubernetes to keep us nimble. Product Management sits in the middle of it all to make it happen.
